Arsenal continued their impressive form in the Premier League with a comfortable 4-1 victory over managerless Crystal Palace on Monday night. With Manchester City in FA Cup action on Saturday, the Gunners seized the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 17th minute, bundling in a rebound after Ben White's header was saved. The Belgian forward doubled his tally in the 25th minute, chesting down a cross from Bukayo Saka and firing past Vicente Guaita.

Martin Odegaard made it 3-0 in the second half with a deflected effort, before Martinelli added a late brace to seal the victory. Jack Grealish scored a consolation goal for Crystal Palace in stoppage time, but it was too little too late.

The win sees Arsenal move closer to securing their first Premier League title in 20 years. With just 14 games remaining in the season, Mikel Arteta's side will be confident of holding on to their lead at the summit.

For Crystal Palace, the defeat extends their winless run to five games. The Eagles remain in 12th place in the Premier League, but they will need to start picking up points soon if they want to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
